Lost love.
It was a long time ago. We had a thing for each other, ever since we met for the first time. But even then we knew this thing between us won’t bloom into something more than a mere friendship. Not when given the circumstances at that time in both of our lives. What could have been was never initiated. Thus, what could have been could never be. Years passed. Now our eyes meet again. Once again, circumstances got in the way. A reconnection is destined to be brief. A touch is felt. A kiss is returned. We both have grown up a bit more. We both understood the closeness is worth savored and cherished. We both have accepted that what once could never be is to be repeated to our discontentment. Maybe someday when our paths crossed again. Maybe in another lifetime. Maybe then…

This strikes a chord. I've had that experience before and it makes you believe that there must be multiple lives, otherwise how could we have so strong a connection to someone we've barely met and know we cannot be with?
Quite a haunting post. Seems like most people in this world have a sense of love lost. Not sure for you but despite it being sad, it is also strangely comforting to have this bond with someone even though it cannot be fulfilled...does that even make sense?
@christao408 - i know, right. sometimes it's difficult to comprehend how life dictates what you should feel and what you could live with. many times we would feel unfairness but i guess it's all about the experience of it, more than us getting what we really want.
@brooklyn2028 - totally. it's always a comfort to know someone out there cares for you that much, even though you both are not destined to be with each other. i guess it's the idea of how you feel makes you realized you are a human being, and what that person feels for you is sort of a validation that you've done something right and that there is a possibility for someone to accept all of you, good and bad.
The "If" statement. "If Only" ... ... ... daym ... *hugs rudy*
