  • Pen du mois (nov’12).

    HAPPY FOUNTAIN PEN DAY!!
Today, Friday November 2nd 2012 is the first of international Fountain Pen Day, which will be celebrated on every first Friday of November.

This month I’m using my Sailor Sapporo Kokutan (Ebony Wood) in medium-fine nib, fully loaded with Rohrer & Klingner Permanent Blue ink. I’ve been so excited with the thought of going to Japan that it is only fitting that I’d post yet another Japanese-brand pen for this month. This is a pocket size pen and I’ll be taking it with me for the trip.

  • It's amazing how many of these sort of days exist. I don't even know of 90 % of them I bet. It is super cool there is a day that people who share your hobby can kind of get together and discuss what they really enjoy doing. I can imagine each one of your pens is special in its own way. I'm sure if you make it to Japan you'd definitely find some to add to your collection. Take care and have a wonderful weekend, bye for now.

  • Nice pen. I also  like the notebook with the leather binding. You should definitely look for Japanese pens while in Japan.

  • Um.... All I could think about was Sailor Moon. You'll have to explain to me the draw of the fountain pen someday haha.

  • Oh my gawd...someone who writes using hand and paper!!!

  • @kyle061685 - kyle, i came this close to acquiring another japanese fountain pen when i was there.  but the price was a bit too steep for my liking and so i settled with several leather-bound note books, also japanese made.

@beowulf222 - i did, nick.  and came very close to buying one but i ended up with several leather-bound note books instead.  japanese brand, of course :)

@secade - hahaha... whatever rocks your boat, colin.  guess i just need to find a fountain pen with sailor moon on it to get you to really start having an interest in using one :)

@Wangium - i know, right.  jason, i feel old and ancient now :)
