Missing San Francisco.
A friend of mine, an American who lives and works in Singapore, flew back to his hometown in USA for a holiday, and Whatsapp me this picture to my cell phone just this past Sunday…
What with my then SF roommate told me over Facebook that she missed hanging out with me, @christao408 posts on San Francisco eats these past few weeks, @vsan79 visited the same city just a week ago and sent me pics, and now this photo. Sigh… is it any wonder I keep having San Francisco in mind?

you're just thinking about it more. SF is a fun place to go to. My oldest sister lives there, shes been there since the late 90s. So I visit her at least once or twice a year for the weekend. Anything you really miss the most so I can take pictures of it and enjoy for you, until your next visit?
We are torturing you. Worse yet, we are actually in cahoots: it is a conspiracy to make you miss SF!
Beautiful place to visit!!!!
You need to come and visit SF.
Go visit SF!
Pls note I haven't posted anything about SF. Maybe I should ....
You should go visit. I wish I could go to but applying for a US tourist visa can be a pain in the ass.
I've been to San Francisco and it is a beautiful place to go.
Don't forget LA!
I really enjoyed San Francisco ! I went there in August 2009 as I visited a friend who was going to UC Berkeley. I got to to go Fisherman's Wharf, Chinatown, Ocean Beach, as well as walked around Berkeley and Oakland. The Bay Area in general is a very nice region. If you head back you should definitely head to Vancouver too as it's only about 2.5 hours away by plane !
It's interesting that you were telling me that you never see any tourism ads for Canada in Asia, but it certainly doesn't surprise me, seeing as the government here has done such a horrible job promoting the country. People from Asia certainly seem to love Canada though, especially Vancouver as we have so many people from China, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, India and the Philippines among other places.
Anyways I hope that you've been having a great week. Take care and I'll talk to you later, bye for now.

@NIMOnkey - your sis lives there? you lucky bastard! can i be her friend?
what i miss from SF? the food market, the food scene, the weather, friends... yeah, there's nothing you can take pics of that would make me feel better
@christao408 - i knew it! damn you, chris. damn you lot
@Fatcat723 - yes, robert, it IS! sigh...
@ZSA_MD - THAT would be awesome. thanks for the rec, zakiah.
@ElusiveWords - now, now, matt don't u too be in cahoots with chris
@oxyGENE_08 - yes, gene, this is one of THE few reasons why i haven't made any attempt to go back for a visit since my return to asia. especially when i'm a holder of passport issued by a muslim country.
@angys_coco - yes, it is. i miss that place. thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment
@CareyGLY - oh, i haven't, carey. you have always been at the back of my mind whenever LA popped in my head. i feel so left out for i haven't had my pic taken at careyfornia hotel
@kyle061685 - yes, i would love to visit canada sometime, as i'm a fan of nature and i know canada has many beautiful nature places. i think the many asians there in canada are mostly immigrants from many years ago and their offsprings. the new comers are probably the family or friends of those who have resided there for years, and so they go for a visit to see them, but NOT because of any ads on the wonderful things and places canada has to offer. i, for one, certainly have never seen one.
indeed you have left your Heart in San Francisco
@rudyhou - We should try to go there together...show me around. haha I haven't been in the US so it will be a lot more difficult than it already is to apply for a visa though.
@agmhkg - sigh... apparently
@oxyGENE_08 - yeah, it might be. but i'm going to give it a try. they do offer 5-year tourist visa.
I was in SF over the weekend, and now I am in Monterey attending a meeting near the beach, i feel so lucky.
@stevew918 - lucky indeed!!
